Garrard 401 Spark Suppressors

Description

The cause for this is the suppressors sit between the main on / off contacts, when the supressors fail they bridge the gap and allow the electricity to pass through them (known as leakage) allowing the turntable to stay on running when switched off. The units also suppress the spark when switching the turntable on and off elminating the click or pop.

Early Garrard 401 Transcription Motor Switch Spark Suppressor kit. The symptoms for replacements are the electrical motor runs continually runs when the switch is in the off position.
